Technical Support to customers are provided by team of civil engineers with broad practical experience of cement and concrete technology. The advisory team is familiar with ongoing advances in concrete technology with developments in standards, specifications and building practice in Malaysia.

Holcim Mobile Laboratory

As part of our solution to present innovation directly to our customers, Holcim Malaysia developed the Holcim Mobile Laboratory, which is the first of its kind in the domestic industry. This complete laboratory is able to cater for testing of materials in the field. This solution is commissioned to assist our customers minimise issues related to concrete while recommending cost optimised mix designs, eventually improving batching plant operations which may result in better monetary returns.
 
This mobile laboratory has modernised the concept of materials testing, by eliminating the need to have materials sent to specialised test centres which is often time consuming and not cost effective.

 

Mobile Laboratory Capabilities


The testing capabilities of the Mobile Lab are as follows:

  • Raw materials testing - sand / stone grading, sand organic impurities, silt & clay content, and moisture
  • Fresh concrete properties such as slump, temperature, setting time and air content
  • Harden concrete properties using Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity rebound hammer and density
  • Concrete mixing on-site using drum mixer
  • Mortar mixing for plastering
